RRD outstanding watermen Tony Cili and Francesco Cappuzzo take the first and second place at last stage of 2015 Italian Wave Championship in challenging Sardinia conditions…
After the stunning result in first 2015 Italian Wave event held in Puizziteddu (Sicily), RRD riders Tony Cili and Francesco Cappuzzo keep delivering their magic with another incredible wave performance in very challenging Wave conditions in West Sardinia surf spot “Capo Mandriola”, with unpredictable wind gusts and set of waves rolling on the race field.
Riding their Religion MK6 and Barracuda boards, both Francesco Cappuzzo and Tony Chili take from the beginning of the Winner’s Final a good advantage against the very strong locals Giordano and Fenu, and until the last wave, the victory of the final looks like being a very close battle between the two RRD riders.
Francesco looks like being in advantage, but right in the end it was Toni Cili to pull out a ride good enough to give him the victory of this event and of the 2015 Italian wave Championship too!
So congratulations to both our RRD watermen: the incredible Tony Cili for being the new Italian Wave Champion!
And our over-talented 18 years old Francesco Cappuzzo, for being the newcomer of the year and scoring a great second place, right behind our Toni Cili! Congratulations guys!!!
After his victory Tony Cili said:
“I really want to thank everybody for their support, it was a long and tough year but full of great satisfactions for me! I want to thank my sponsor: HLB-HangLooseBeach and Luca Valentini, who was the first to believe in me, and Roberto Ricci who always push me to give the very best of myself thanks to his spectacular equipment! Everybody already know that we in Italy are good in doing 3 things: pasta, pizza, and RRD!
